Travelling with young horse lovers? Join our Family Adventure day-tour where everyone can enjoy a 30-minute riding tour near our stables in Hafnarfjörður (right outside of Reykjavík’s city center). Our trained guides take you and your whole family on a quick ride on calm horses allowing both you and the youngest ones to experience the breathtaking nature and the excitement of riding a horse.
At our stable we also have dogs, cats and rabbits for everyone to see and enjoy along with a dedicated children’s corner with farm related toys for the youngest family members. Children under the age of 6 will be led by rein in a paddock at a discounted rate.
When we arrive back at the stables enjoy complimentary coffee, tea and hot chocolate is available and feel free to ask our staff any questions about the Icelandic horse.
Please keep in mind that at least one adult needs to stay behind with a young child at our stable while other members ride.
At Íshestar we take pride in our personal service and limit group sizes to be 20 or below per riding group to ensure a safe and enjoyable tour for all of our guests.
Our stables are located a short 20-minute drive outside of Reykjavik’s city center.
